Membership

To become a Consortium member, a written request should be made to the Board of Directors declaring that the applicant possesses the requirements to be admitted and that the applicant knows and accepts, without any reserve, the Articles of Association, Articles of Incorporation and internal company regulations, as and when implemented.

The Board of Directors approves membership only having first evaluated the interests of the Consortium and the existence of the applicant’s required prerequisites.

The Consortium is open to all Internet and Internet service and access supply operators both in Italy and abroad, and in particular to those operators that supply or promote new technology for the diffusion of Internet services, provided they have their own autonomous system.

The members of the Consortium may not only be large private business ventures and concerns, but also small and medium enterprises operating any of the activities described in Article 2195 of the Italian Civil Code, arts and crafts activities as stated in Law no. 443, dated August 8, 1985, or other Consortiums classified as business ventures as cited in Article 2195, i.e. publicly-owned consortiums or agencies.

Industrial or commercial companies are classified as being small and medium enterprises if they satisfy the requirements indicated in regulations currently in force concerning activities and measures to support and favour Consortiums trading abroad.

The Board of Directors passes a resolution for prior verification of the applicable rules and parameters to be applied. The number of Consortium members is unlimited.
